Any advice for a live tourney with bounty?

So I'm looking at playing a live tournament with bounty. The buyin is $60, with $10 of that going to fees and $5 towards the bounty.

My question is, are there any strategy adjustments for playing with a bounty? I would think that you have to start shoving short stacks a little sooner when trying to steal. Other players are going to have a greater incentive to knock you out, so the smaller your stack, the more enticing that gets.

Thanks for any help. I've never played a bounty game before. It seems like it could be fun.

lotta views, no replies??
my opinion
$5 aint big incentive to go allin for a bounty on a 60$ buyin
I like bounty games too, but unless half buyin is bounty, its not really worth giving up your tournament life for a shot at only a few dollars
enjoy, gl, let us know how you do

I would play it like a normal tournament, if you do good, the bountys will come along. He is right that 5$ bounty on a 60$ buyin tournament is not significative to incentive players to shove shortstacks

Hey guys, thanks for the advice. I think you're both right. $5 compared to $60 really isn't much. It probably varies by player as well.

I'll definitely let you know how it goes. I go next month. I can't wait. :)

Yea, just don't let the bounty get in the way of your game...

The few bounty tournaments I've played I notice that I tend to start shoving the short stacks a lot more with hands I usually wouldn't...

Definitely focus on playing like no bounty exists especially with that small amount of potential return. If they come they come. If you try to manufacture them you will end up someone else bounty lol. When it is 50% of the buy in for the Bounty say $25-50 for each scalp it makes the game a little crazier and when guys get several bounties and are in the + and have a nice stack they get even more aggressive from all the blood. And already being up even if they get railed.

Play your normal tournament strategy and see the bounty as mere bonuses.

The fact that they are there should not make you call an all in that you wouldn't normally. In fact, forget about the bounties and let them take care of themselves.
