If you win a ticket to a tourney, like say I win the seat for the 27k gtd on sunday (215$ equivalent). I'm assuming you win a ticket to the tourney, not the cash equivalent correct? Just wondering because I'm seeing this guy all over their facebook and other places saying he hasn't been credited his cash equivalent and he won this tourney? is this a certain strange situation or is this how it works? you have a choice of taking cash or the seat?

check it out, and i quote (copy and paste)

Thomas Juliusj- "Ive sent the ceo this msg through twitch: my name is thomas username tmoneyx2 on acr i played a mo mo mo freebuy satelitte today 12/21 at noon for entry into the 25k plo sunday special and when it was down to two tables i went to preregister due to the fact i have to work sunday so the 215 $ will be credited to my account and the tourney was not in the lobby so i called and advised support so i can preregister to get amount added to my account. rep advised tournament will be up or i will be credited 215$ on my account. I won the ticket and $215 was credited and i started registering for saturday games and the money was taken out. After speaking with your very rude customer service til 7pm when the tourney stilll wasnt up they will not credit my account and are telling me i have to take the plo 25k sunday ticket when it was wpns fault i was not able to preregister and the ticket was already credited with cash and i was told it would be then the tournament team decides to take it out.the tourney was not up or i would preregister as i have many times due to working sundays. The supervisor would not credit my account either after staying on hold for 45 minutes. Can you please look into this and have the $215 credited into my account before your customers are lost for good.as I would have pre register and converted to cash if the tournament was posted like every other plo special tournies on sunday which are all up but this one.. $215 is a lot of money and this is unacceptable to treat your players like this. Please heklp me fix this 215$ is alot and i cant play or sell the ticket when it wasnt my fault. Im done with ACR"

this specific post was the one on december 21st, check it out

Typically you win direct entry (it will register you when you win) into the mtt, however as was the case for this guy he was looking to register in the mtt from cash in his account already and then typically if you win a seat to an mtt you are already registered in it should credit your account with the amount in tournament $$ that can then be used to register any other sng's or mtt's as if it was real money. He would then unregister from the target tournament and have the cash refunded to his account as well so that he basically would have won money from the satty vs having to play the event he sattied into.

In this situation if the mtt wasn't available to prereg I'm not sure how it would have awarded the prize tbh

Ok, I think that might've actually been a different guy then i originally saw. I just found another where the guy was complaining because I assume the tournament he won his ticket for was cancelled or didn't run for some reason, so he was also asking for cash in place of the ticket. :)

That would be pretty cool if you got the choice of the cash equivalent...There's really no logical reason I can see that a casino wouldn't want to do that other then they may think you will win more $ off them with the $215 or something, but we are talking about poker...so when all's said and done the casino's making more money off ya if you're winning. They could make it a poker exclusive equivalent.

I guess I could also see them refusing handing out equivalents because they may want as much attendance to the tourney as possible or somethin...dunno. Or it's just too much of a headache for em?lol who knows! personally I'd take the ticket...unless there was a situation where I wanted to buy into another tourney sooner. :D

I have been using this method to get funds credited to my account rather than tickets after winning a sat. I only wish I had known about it longer, I have only known for a couple months.. I read somewhere a little while back about this, and the guy was talking about how he had been doing it for months. As BluffMe said, not sure what they do when a game isn't in the lobby, and you can't pre-reg for it.. I'd think he is going to have to play the ticket and wont be getting the funds.
