I am officially committing to being a live game player. I played a total of 5 games online last month and I am making my free-time decisions towards the nights the poker club is open.

I'll be trying to play at least 2 tournaments a week with cash games afterward.

I rarely play MTT's. This month I want to average 1 a day though (maybe playing 4 in one day every 4 days).

Still gotta do a lot of SNG's and cash games too, but I'd like to improve my MTT game.

Also review each one I play, and find why I keep going out early and how I can pick up extra chips.

I'm gonna mostly stick to pokerstars this month -- with the exception of the Tuesday CC Freeroll on FTP and bodog Monday w seat added.

Love the $ added CC tourneys as well, but the timing generally doesn't suit me.

BRM leak to fix this month -- plan my night's tourney(s), and when I go out, walk away. Too often I'll tilt and fire up a few STTs before shutting down...

I had a great first month last month, almost doubled my stake, but lots of problems to work on. BRM is a big one, I was up a good deal more but kept thinking I could stick my toe in at a higher level and kept losing. I want to maintain a good ROI this month and maybe build enough to move up to the .55 90-seat MTT on Pokerstars. I also want to figure out why I can't last half an hour in the big tournaments (people-wise big). I'd like to play 100 MTT this month.

I was going to say "right behind ya" a week ago, but seems a little redundant now. :icon_blac

I joined 888 Poker last night as they give $8 just for signing up. I got up to $11 dollars playing cash and decided to take a shot at an MTT. I finished 6th for $70. I deserved better as my last hand I had KK and lost to A6 :( . But its all free cash so I shouldnt complain. :)

I was pretty upset last night. I played in a $3 freezeout turbo on Carbon last night and 100 played in it. I finished 12th. I didn't even make a profit, 20-11 got $3 and the buy in was $3.30. I was in the top 5 in chips the whole tourney as well. But what can you do when this stuff is happening to you? The first 2 pics are from the tourney, the last pic is from a $2 stt superturbo that I played in afterwards.

Nice ending/Cash Sean.

I think will search for 2-3 rooms to split my money and not have all in just 1 place from now on (yes, trust issues), 888 was in mind to try, maybe see you there soon.

This also will mean less SNG grind and back to some Mtts too, so signing up again to thread.

Nice cash!

So I tried playing $2-3 tournies/re-buys - and with the fields so small I just can not adjust to the small payout potential.

I am going to find some $11 tournies and play a few of them each week. I need at least double stack - prefer deep stack so my choices are very few. So far I have found these:

Bodog
$11 DS $5k gtd - every Sun at 4:30pm

Carbon/SB or whatever merge site lol:

$16.50 $35.k gtd DS at 9:30p
$11 $1.5k gtd DS at 12:00p

Sigh... 11am and 12p too early most days and 9:30p too late some days

If anyone finds anything else that might suit me let me know.

Carbon has a $15 bounty freezeout that is a Deepstack tourney, its at 5:30 pm est. Yesterday that had 74 that played in it.

They also have a $1500 Guaranteed Deepstack Freezeout, its a $11 buy in and its 1:00 pm est. They have 191 in that tourney today.

Also they have a $5 Holdem Turbo SH Freezeout that is a Deepstack tourney. Its at at 8:50 pm est, yesterday tourney had 63 played.

That is all on Carbon. Maybe that gives you a few ideas, hope it helps!

Thanks - I don't really like bounties. I will look for that $11 game at 1pm though. Turbos are definitely out for me hehe.

loool well said KC

Railing a mate whose deep in the TT (19 left), he's a sick grinder who plays a lot and deserves a really good score, think a bit of ankle stabbing may occur if he doesn't get one

I've never played a freezeout tournament. Could someone explain the rules and such? Thanks in advance.

Do you mean freezeout tournament in particular or any type of tournament?

A freezeout tournament is just a standard tournament - you buy in and once you bust you're out and can't get back in again

As far as I know, a Freezeout simply means you cannot buy more chips after you bust out. When yer dun yer dun!
