To the OP, unless you really have your heart set on playing the DONs, I'd recommend regular payout sngs, mtts even cash games.. anything but the DONs. Sure they are beatable, but so are all the other games. And the other games are easier to sustain a better ROI, more fun and better to learn actual poker skills in.
DONs are not exciting. They are a grind. Even if you are winning at a decent rate. If OP is doing poorly, at least he can minimize the drain by going lower. It will then take less time for him to lose his entire bankroll at a game he can't break even at. Admittedly, we don't know how he would do -- he needs at least 100 games to even have a clue how he's doing. Four doesn't cut it.
I also prefer regular payout SNGs, especially 9 handed. But you really do have to win some. Otherwise, your bankroll just dwindles and it's not much fun at all.
OP -- go check out the SNG lesson in the PS Poker School. And, if you want, get Collin Moshman's book on SNGs. You need to get a bit better at these.
