Might have flatted the initial 3-bet (Because he's a big stack). Did you have any reads on their play? Had they been aggressive recently?

I would've just 4bet allin pre here.
Villain may be assuming you're opening a bit wide'ish' here being that you're otb & with stack sizes it just sets up well for a 4bai over their raise (you have decent fold equity & we do have AK).

As played, seems odd for villain to just flat the 4bet here? (with only just over a pot-sized bet left in effective stacks). Do they do this w AA/KK? If so, wouldn't they be crai all flops? (their play looks really suspect/fishy).

I wouldve flatted or 4bet all in. I dont like the 4bet to 400. You're just building the pot without seeing the flop. Without an ace, king, or maybe an all club flop, you will be in a tough position even when you have position.

As for villains hand, he could easily have pair, almost any pair above 7s. He might be bluffing but I doubt its just an AQ or AJ all in.

Looks early in the tourny and villian has a lot of chips so maybe they are just super aggro. You still had 50 BBs left so why risk it all on a miss? If you were gonna call any raise anyway then yeah just shove em over his reraise.

In Super System, Doyle says that AK is such a powerful hand that you should go all in preflop with it so you don't chicken out later in the hand. I tend to do that. The chances of getting an A or a K on the board are pretty high.

I would say I'm not a fan of the 3 bet there. The only time I'm three betting in your position and chip stack wise would be if I've got a higher pair, Q's or up.

Either call or push, those would be my options, and I'd prob lean towards pushing.

Please do yourself a favour & DO NOT bother getting that book. There are dozens of books you'd be far better off reading than that one.
