I think you already know it, but it's good to go for max cash instead of playing too tight and min cash.

At least you know pretty well what you want! And I could assure you AKo wents terrible today too, except in opponent's hands

Correct, if your goal is to win the tournament than calling is likely the correct play.

That being said, when you know you are but one hand away from cashing, if the payout is very meaningful for you and there is still a long long way to go to the final table, sometimes folding here can be correct.
