I havn't really developed a style for me to use and was wondering what you guys thought of this. I play at the smallest stakes on pokerstars, and local pub games/ cash games.Basically, I only play good cards: A9 and K10 being the worse I'll play, and I'll only play them in good position. Play all pockets, and suited connectors when I and most other players have 50+ blinds.

This is one of the flaws in this style: will only call(most of the time anyway) when I have suited connectors or low pockets. An observant player would catch on to this, but I am not concerned with this at the moment. When I raise, I go 3BB+1 for every caller. When I get down to 10BB I'm not that sure what to do, people online say push-fold mode is best but I'm not completly convinced... But, I usually go all in at 10BB.

I thought that this would work great. Small risks and put people on pressure when I play. The only problem would not getting enough cards, since I mainly play turbo games. However, this strategy did not work tonight whatsoever. Perhaps I should have been more aggressive. For example, one hand I had AK and followed my raise pattern: It was a MUCH bigger raise than the other players were making. they all folded. Second hand I had AQ, raised a little less as there were not many limpers. THe player to my left reraised me 3 times. I decided against an all in, called, missed and folded to her continuation bet. She had pokets 88s. I guess I should go all in more when I think I have an edge over them? Another hand I did a decent sized raise with AK and got two callers. The flop came 10,Q and rag. I was first and for whatever reason decided to check, I was probably thinking that it was a rather scary flop. The last player to act did a decent raise and I folded.

Every time I don't win one of these hands impacts my stack rather severly, since I am playing very tight and not making my chips. From playing live for about 1:20, I probaly only played a few under 10 hands, and only limped in once with A10, and I was probably a little scared to lose another raise, and A10 isn't that good.

So, what do you guys think. Please give me honest critism

Not much info here but with the A-k hand and first to act you have 2 overcards and an inside str8 draw here. With noone raising in front of you a pot sized semi-bluff probably earns you that pot. If you get called down you might even hit one of your outs.

It seems I hear several very tight players say they play turbo's and I wonder why? The very nature of a turbo is for the more aggressive player. Try to play some regular tournies and see if it works better for you.

^^this. You can`t expect consistent success in turbos unless you are able to adjust and play a more LAGgy game. Tight players are always liable to come under pressure from the rising blinds.

The experts agree that an agressive playing style is the way to go. How tight you should play? Well it depends. Try to practice on changing gears, and practice on your game. You cant expect to be an expert without experience. Studying helps too.

Maybe change your range of hands. For example, I would never play A9, because I do not consider it a good hand. Maybe if it's suited and I'm in late position and I can see the flop will I limp in. But other than that, experience is the best teacher.
