Man I would really love to get some advice on bankroll management and how to climb the charts gradually on it so that I can play at higher stakes consistently. I tend to get too impulsive and want to jump up too fast after one big win. Its just a recipe for disaster. Would love to hear some of the more successful and experienced player’s methods of working their way up and how they got to the point that they weren’t constantly on a yoyo so to speak. All comments welcome though because we can all learn from each other.

It depends. What kind of game are you intend to play, SNG, Cash games, Omaha, pot limit or No limit.

Here are Chris 'Jesus' Ferguson's rules.
Play cash no more than 5% of your bankroll.
Play multi-table tournaments no more than 2% of your bankroll.
Do not play cash if the stack exceeds 10% of the bankroll.
