Hi guys I would like some feedback on a hand that I recently played.

Hero(MP) $5598 - VP:15 PFR:11 AF:2.0 W:33|50 STL:40|100 3B:6| CB:100| N:-3000 hands:74

Villain (UTG) $10330 - VP:67 PFR:0 AF:0 W:100|100 STL: 3B:0| CB:|0 N:11149 Hands:3

P579(UTG+1) $2975 - VP:50 PFR:0 AF: W:0| STL: 3B:0| CB:|100 N:-800 Hands:2

Pre Flop: Hero(MP) with A:club: 5:club:

Villain (UTG) calls 250, P579(UTG+1) calls 250, Hero(MP) raises 750, P242(CO) folds, P140(BTN) folds, P96(SB) folds, P116(BB) folds, Villain(UTG) calls 500, P579(UTG+1) calls 500

Flop: 3:diamond: Q:heart: 2:club: (3 players)

Villain (UTG) checks, P579 (UTG+1) checks, Hero(MP) bets 1500, Villain (UTG) calls 1500, P579 (UTG+1) folds

Turn: 6:club: (2 players)

Villain (UTG) checks, Hero (MP) bets 3323, Villain (UTG) calls 3323

River: 5:heart:

What do you guys think about my line? Bet more pre-flop? Check turn for pot control and still shove river?

Thanks in advance guys!

Try providing complete info. What buyin level was this at? How early or late in the tournament? What were the other stack? Anything else?

You might also want to explain why you chose to take the actions you did? Pre-flop for example, why did you decide to raise two limpers from MP with A5s? And why to 750? What was your plan if someone behind you 3bet? Or if either limper did?

Really? With A♣ 5♣ go almost all-in?
With cards like that I play check/fold after flop, maybe after turn, because there came straight draw, but not bet so much in flop and turn...

You got only 4 outs to the straight at the flop, but you continued to bet big amount of chips!
In your place, I wouldn't do as that, I would call min-raises, if there is big agression from the others - definitely fold.
That's how I think, because 4 outs is not enough.

As stated above, would like to know more information. What is your image and what is villains image? How has the table been playing? What stage of the tournament is it?

You played a very strong line. Flop is fairly dry and there are only a few draws on the flop. I feel you could have bet less on flop with the same results. My turn play would depend on the opponent. If he is a loose passive I would probably check back turn. If he has hand reading capabilities then a turn bet is fine.

UTG villain's flop call should have been a huge red flag.

Did he have 33 or 22? KQs? If he had worse I'd be shocked.

I'm probably not raising with A 5 in the first place.

3x raise, you gain the button as everyone folds fine (I have no information on the players but this limp/call range is prob spec/small pairs/A high, You pick up a straight draw and back draw flush,
2/3rds of pot bet fine you will take it down enough of the time x the amount for your draw equity so its a +EV situation. if they are folding a third of the time.

If you dont want to be faced with the call and have to either A 2nd barrel a large proportion of your stack or check and call off after commiting yourself.

Then Checking for pot control is pretty much 100% the best play.
If you shove the turn your only getting called by all hands that beat you.
Also after villain calling 1500 I'd be concerned I dont have much fold equity the 6 is unlikely to scare him away

Call or fold pre A5s is NOT a big hand, so don't try to get into a big pot with it.

i think in middle position the best action for A5 is to fold in early stages and call in mid stages of tournament.
and after the flop, you had a straight draw with 4 outs and approximate winning chance of 8%, but your hand equity is 1500/(2625+1500)*100= 36% and so your EV is negative.
for a draw, i always try to keep it as cheap as possible to see turn and river.
