Top 3 in bounty...pretty tight image playing ABC...I shove A10 with about 18 bb and get called by kq ..15 bb...just wondering if others are seeing this type of call.

Do I see people call shoves with KQ? Yes, all day every day and it's not even that bad.

I see calls like that and worse quite frequently. Would I make that call? I don't know if I would against someone in early or middle position. But I tend to be suspicious of late position raises against my blinds and even moreso of shoves. I tend to think a shove there, for that amount, looks like someone trying to pick off the blinds with a shove, rather than a raise, to keep from getting played back at. I've caught players on the button shoving for 15xbb with hands as weak as 7 high to try to pick up the blinds. Obviously, not the case here. But just because it looks so suspicious, I might make that call.

its pretty standard call with KQ. Especially when player on button shoved, cause players have there usually much wider range...

And I am not sure If I understand exactly. It was in last 3 players situation? Then it was obvious call I guess...

First off, the guy made an ok call i'd say. He was defending his blinds, and his run, with a pretty decent hand. What can be questioned here is not only his call but your shove. AT shoves 18bb's into 15bb's? I wouldn't. With 18 bb's surely I would be opening here but for me I wouldn't be open shoving. We're not short stacked. Open raise and see what ya get. If he pushes back, possibly fold. If he calls and the flop misses me, I save my whole stack and fold :)

Assuming neither are suited, you're about a 60/40 favorite. You have not connected anything thus far. You will lose 2 of every 5 times. Just my .02 cents

To be honest, I cannot blame both of you. You for shoving and him for calling because if I have those hands I would've called or shoved. Its basically a flip pre-flop and you just hope your hand holds up. I don't see anything wrong with both your actions and its all about your luck now.

IMO it being suited doesn't add as much percentage to the hand winning as most people seem to think...and if I understand correctly, the game is 3 handed...A10 and KQ are both great starting hands IMO with trio, but don't think I shove there cause that play always makes me think maybe they are weaker than they are representing...agree with Blobweird...not really even 2 cents worth but its what I got...gl on the felt

Only hands that have KQ way behind are QQ+ AQ+

By shoving I would narrow your range to only two hands that have me dominated.

If you shoved one of the other 3, nice play gg me.

Everything else is basically a flip and 3handed 15bb's maybe a little marginal but looks like a pretty decent spot to gamble. Can't win a tournament by folding.

His call is fine, you're shove is ok. I prefer raise and call his shove if he's the type to 3bet jam light v a wide button opening range but that really depends on reads and your image.

I would not call an allin with KQ but I can understand his call. It's quite normal.

Btw what's the result?

There's not a whole lot either one of you could've done in that spot. Yes it's pretty typical. I wouldn't been surprised if the guy had 27 off. Welcome to the world of online poker.

I was in a tournament in the middle ..... I was dealer against the cutoff... The guy next to me raised and i had AQ... So i naturally reraise...
He didn't seem all that sure about the play so i continued and actually shoved all in .... he calls with KQ great position and double up play normally...
River comes out K ... oh well thats poker
