Hi guys,

I'm looking for 1 or even two volunteers to sweat a sit n go session with me.

I've been playing break even poker for pretty much 3 years now and its really getting me down how i'm not a winning player. I can't see any major leaks in my game. Actually truth be told i go out on the bubble far more than i should be.

I've finally admitted to myself that i must be doing something wrong (i used to blame it on bad beats or coolers) but something is definately not working.

I currently play 4 tables at a time, 3 dollar 9 man non turbos at stars.

Thanks in advance
richard

p.s we'd probably do it on skype. I'm a student on break so most times would be good

Hi Richard, good luck with your game.
Is it possible 4 tables might be too much and when it comes bubble time you are distracted by the other tables?

On a side note i'd like to say i have 3 best friends who have all made roughly 2k playing online, so if i did have a major flaw i'm sure they'd point it out. The wierd thing is i can often beat them when we have home games, we often say amoungst ourselves that you can't bluff or read a bad player, and that might be why i have such trouble. My friends play 10~20 dollar stakes were i assume the play is a lot less ammateur

Honestly i don't think thats the problem. If i had to pick my biggest pit fall its in unraised pots, like the big blind. Flopping top pair or simmilar mediocre hand. Now dont get me wrong, i wont go bust or get to the river, but often i wish i just folded on the flop.

I play those fairly often and have about a 30% ROI on the FT 90 man KO's.
I'd be happy to take a look with you.

First thing I would suggest is cut back to one.....yes one table at a time. Once you prove to yourself that you can win on one at a time, try playing two and progress back up. Give it a try.

ok then, i'll play one table at a time, till ive played 50 games. I'll post the results at the end. is 50 games enough of a sample to get a feel if i'll get a +ve roi

Personally I don't believe 50 games is enough of a sample. I resurrected my sng playing after a stint at micro cash ring games.

OF course with you having played 3 years already 50 games might be ok but for example I'll have played about 70 games this month. 90 man sng currently my roi is 60%. I've no expectations of that continuing although I wouldn't mind. Players I check the stats on that play many more than me average around 30% if they are good. Most do not.

I have many leaks and until I'm very comfortable with them I refuse to play more than 2 at once. I expect this to go on for a long time before I add a third.

It's not easy when your bankroll just stagnates but take your time and focus on making the right decisions while playing and you will see results eventually.
