You only beats bluff, so yes it is a hero call, but its not that many hands he can have here. Because most of the pairs he will check on the river. So you are afraid of two pairs, sets or AK/AA. This is a freeroll as well, so there are many players who are bluffing.

But I don´t like the call pre, it is to early in the tourney, and not worth calling with 107 (even in position). When you do call, I would have raised the flop, just to narrow his range.

This was not a hero call. A hero call requires a read or at least picking up on the betting patterns of an opponent. This being the first hand of the tournament, you would have no information on the player at all. After getting involved preflop, it seems that you had decided you were just going to call down if you hit top pair no matter what.

It was just poor play combined with luck and an opponent who was willing to triple barrel with air.

Hero call i guess. I would have folded on the river. He could have AK. Only if he is bluffing alot i would call.

First of all you shouldn't call pre-flop, rest is just a lucky flip coin between bluffing opponent and c-bet, and this time it gave you some chips. Highly unrecommended to call with T7s on a 2,5BB bet even on a button.

I would consider a hero call if you have nothing and calls and still wins.

In here, you have something and can win with that pair.

For me isn't a hero call because the bet is not too much for that. Maybe a call with Ace high, King high with 30-40 bbs can be called "hero call".

I agree 100% but if I could be a smart player or a lucky one I would pick the lucky one.

Sorry, but I think both players went wrong. The villain was not bluffing, but waiting for a card against a calling station, a bad decision. The hero paying following bets with a weak hand. When you hit the TT, you should 3bet. There was a a good chance of your opponent hit a top pair after the turn, and in position, you should take the action for you.

Think of this Debriz: would you have posted this thread if you called and he would have AK? No, then you wouldn't see that as a hero call, but you would be mad at the river card, wouldn't you?

Don't get me wrong, I admire your guts to call but to classify this as a hero call, no. You did not have to go all-in to call and your tournament life was not in any danger.

If you would be playing for 5 hours and on the bubble and he would put you all-in and you would call... then it would be a hero call IMO :))) I know, it's like a forrest with all this "would" LOL.

With all do respect, because you won this and that is what matters, wright.
