i play low buy in online mtt's usually between 2-11 dollars. What my strategy is to only watch the 2 players to my left and the 3 players to my right as i am more likely to play pots with these guys. I make a tally of how many times the 3 players raise when they are in position and the size of the raise and wether or not they folded to a 3 bet and what hands they made a particular raise with if it got to showdown, also if they limp into pots when the action is folded to them, if they do that more than twice i can assume they are new to poker and relatively weak player and i will try to isolate him when the time comes. I also make a tally for the 2 to my left of how many pots they call when the raise was 2 bb and how many they will fold if it was bigger so i can steal there blinds and get a caller when i pick up a strong hand. i also try to work out whether they are tight or agressive so i can widen or narrow my range when i decide to play against them. I am still relatively new to online poker so im not too great post flop but with these little bits of information i can kind of put my opponent on a hand. Does anyone think this is a good basis for a strategy to begin with and then once i have mastered this move on to bet sizing post flop?
