I think it is a fold. The fact is that the range of hands of your rivals most likely exceeds your 99, and the probability to get into the set is only 10%.
In addition, the “vpip” indicator tells us that even if you get into the set, nothing guarantees that you will be paid for your set. Therefore, you can not even call here, just fold. While playing zoom poker , I often met players with similar stats and they even dropped AA. This is a category of experienced users who will not pay you if they feel that your hand is stronger. The only reasonable reason to try to collect a set is the presence of weak players at the table who are Not learned to throw off strong combinations.

However, it all depends on your postflop skill. On the flop, turn, river, there may be a flush, a street, and if you can make your opponents get scared and they will throw their cards, then the game is worth the candle. But for this you need a good skill.

The hand history does not allow us to conclude about their play after the preflop, so in the end my final decision is to fold.

I wouldn't narrow BTN range to QQ+ here, as there are so many hands that are clear 3-bet IP against a min bet made by MP with 30bbs. Especially when BTN is sitting on a rather big and comfortable stack.

You are not really getting great odds for set mining, you are paying 3 more to win a little over 7bbs (over 9bbs if MP+1 ends up calling), and you will hit a set only 12.5% of the time. But I always count on implied odds to boost my decision up a bit.

So basically a 259 flop wins you all the money against QQ+ range most of the time. IMO, risking 3bbs for that one spot is completely fine. Such spots can give you enough chips to actually aim for some final tables here and there, and that is where the money is :)

I think the BTN's range here is broader than someone suggested earlier here. Your hand would hold up against a good part of that range. However you are out of position to not one, but two players and if the MP+1 calls you are going to be in a tight spot after the flop. So, after all that, I think folding is correct

I'd definitely play 99 pairs. I don't like preflop call, but I think it's a good decision now. Raise is a good step, but besides position, i wouldn't increase the pot, we can be in a difficult situation on the flop.
