I'm looking for some advice for where to go from here.

I've played the 25NL stakes ($0.10/$0.25) at Bovada Zone Poker for over 70,000 hands now. I know it's not the largest sample size, but I feel it's enough to make a few claims.

I am completely breaking even; which means my win rate is equal to the rake. If there were some kind of rakeback available this would be profitable, but I do not know of any rakeback at Bovada (please inform me otherwise).

I can either keep at it with what I am doing (25NL Zone), or I could switch to grinding SNGs and MTT. I am a better tourney player than I am a cash player honestly, but I do not care for the tournaments and SNGs on Bovada. I love the anonymity for Zone Poker and the Cash Tables, but I loathe it for MTT and SNGs.

If I make the switch over to grinding SNGs and MTTs then I will undoubtedly do so on a different poker site. Being a US player my options are limited. I've narrowed my choices down to America's Cardroom, Black Chip Poker, or Full Flush. Can anyone offer some insight to the SNG environment specifically on any of these sites?

Also, are there any US friendly sites that have fast fold style games (like Zone, Rush, Zoom Poker) that aren't Bovada?

Thanks for your input.

P.S. Please don't suggest BetOnline. I've had bad experiences with that site and the software has serious issues. The Full Flush software is the same though honestly, so...

If you're not making any money, maybe you should try a different site or a different type of ring game. If you've played that many hands and have gotten nothing back, then chances are you never will make much.

I'm not sure what to switch to though.

Moving down to 10NL would be a decent plan except that 10NL doesn't run as well on Bovada as 5NL or 25NL. The 10NL rings are only full during the peak hours (evenings and weekends).

I could try the 25NL regular cash tables on Bovada (I've played them a little), but you can't really table select on Bovada and you can only 4 table max anyways.

I'm considering moving over to America's Cardroom or Black Chip Poker. Is there really anything putting one of them ahead of the other? They're obviously the same skin and on the same network, but does one handle payouts/deposits better than the other?

The thing is I feel like Zone could be profitable, but I just need a little tweaking in my game. The fact that I'm breaking even is better than losing of course.

If you want to win at any site or any level these days you have to set about mastering a format, so if you are going to play SNG or MTT, make sure you get studying and put the work in to get better, otherwise you will just be wasting your own time really unless you are lucky enough to bink some MTT.

I'd say change the buy in a the tables youre sitting at. Up or Down. You have to experiment and find out where your style plays best at. Also, that is not where you stop by the way. If you find that your profit margin is greater at the lower stakes or micros then ask yourself "why is that"? Or if you make more at the higher stakes tables I would ask the same question. Will probably go a long way to making you more "adaptable" and an overall better player.

^^^^ this statement is true. Keep on trying and maybe post some of the losing hands. Maybe you can get some help.

You mention only 4 table max. How many tables are you playing?

When playing Zone Poker on Bovada, you can only play 2 tables of the same limit at a time. So I'll typically play 2 tables of 25NL. Rarely I'll also throw in a table or two of full ring 25NL as well.

But when I play the cash games that aren't Zone, I'll always have 4 tables up because they are so much slower paced than Zone. It's easy for me to keep up with 4 tables and still be able to take notes on players. If Bovada would allow it, I would probably be playing 6 tables comfortably.

If you are a complete break even play at 25NHL you are doing somthing right, you are not loosing money and actually making a profit but because of rake its not a profit you keep.

I would suggest moving down to 5NHL seems like a big drop but if over the same sample size you are dominating and making profit either stick to that or move up to 10NHL but only after you have reviewed your sample size.

Its better to play smaller stakes whilst profiting than playing higher stakes and only breaking even, think long term you will be making more profit at 5NHL.

Goodluck! and let us know how any changes change your game
