Hello everybody,
Just wondering what is a good bankroll to have for the 6max sng. At the moment I have $18 and playing $1.50 games I deposited $14 so I'm break even but starting to come ahead slowly. When should the average person move up? I wouldn't say I'm excellent yet. So 30BI? I don't want to be super safe coz I'm willing to go higher in the stakes with an ok bankroll

The more buy ins the better chance you will have of progressing. Try 30 out to see how you get on, if you bust then try 40 next time and so on and so on until you find the area right for you

I used to grind 6max turbos pre Black Friday. I recommend playing with no more than 2% of your bankroll at a time for SNGs, so 50 buy ins minimum. I understand that you are nowhere close to that yet as you are still building your roll, but I would definitely grind the current micro stakes until you build it up to around $90-100. Then start taking cracks at the next stake. If you find yourself falling below 50 buy ins for the $1.50s move back down until you hit the $90-100 range again. Then take another crack at it.

I can't stress bankroll management enough to be honest. I ran over 24% ROI for nearly a year at one point playing the $33 SNGs. I had played thousands of games, and was withdrawing weekly. Then a month or so of negative variance wiped out my entire roll. I had never had to lower my stakes at any point in the past and I did not adjust quickly enough. It is a mistake I will never repeat.

When variance hits, it can hit extremely hard. It is best to always be prepared for it.

I would say that if you think you can beat those games 50 buy ins are enough to start playing.
When you are close to doubling your roll you can take shots at higher stakes. gl

you only have 12 bi now so there is a chance you can go broke. 30 bi i guess if you have a more agressive strategy or 50+ if you want to be more safe.

Probability theory has not been canceled , sung in any case with the bankroll you will soon lose, no matter how well you play . We need a bankroll of 30-50 buy-ins for the game and set the distance

I am in a slimier situation. Mug's advice is good for not going broke. You could always try 20 buy ins but you have to be prepared to reload :(.

This

The number at which you move back down in stakes is the more important number, imo. If you decide 30 buyins is enough to move up to the next level what is your move down number? You need to decide that and stick to it.

Starting with so few buy ins is tough like most have said variance and bad luck will wipe you out quickly and you will be depositing 20 bucks over and over. Save those multiple 20 dollar buy ins and use bankroll management skills while depositing the 50-75 buy ins and do it the best way first.

I think you're playing outside bank, and you can run the risk of losing all your bank, to play sng 6 players, you need at least 30 or 40 boxes, to play in SNG $ 1.50, you need between 40 and 50 dollars of bank, gl .
