Hello guys,

I recently started grinding $1.50 6max hyper turbo sit n gos in pokerstars.

Currrently I've played around 500 games and the results are rather very disappointing..

I attached an image of my results+graph

Are my results... normal..? my graph doesnt look like a winner graph..

I would like to ask... if there is something wrong with my play... I'll describe as accurate as I could.

Early stage I play tight pretty much. Most of the time with TT+, AQo+ I shove regardless of position.

77~99 I raise in all positions , if raised before I just flat and see the flop.

22~66 I raise in late position, if raised before I just flat. Sometimes if raise is too big (like 4+BB) I fold.

QTs+, QJo+ I raise them in middle, late position. If raised before I just flat and see the flop.

Middle,Late stage. 30SB-60BB (3~5 players)

With short stack usually 5~10BB, I pretty much shove with any pair, any ace, and KT+, unless someone else raised before me. If raised before me I don't shove unless I have AT+, 77+. If my stack is like less than 5BB, I call with any pair, A5+ depending on the raiser (if he's solid, his stack size and etc)

Bubble play

I just play solid, sometimes try to steal with min raise, shove with any pair, any ace, K8+

Heads UP

Pretty much Shove play with any ace , decent Kx, any pair.

Is this play a losing play? If so what is wrong with my play.. Any tips any advise greatly appreciated.. More specific the better T.T

Please help :(

First of all, you can't make any conclusions based on the results of a 500 game sample. You can easily play 5k+ hypers, lose money, and still be playing winning poker.

From reading what you wrote, it seems like your ranges are far too static. The key to being a good sng player is being able to adjust your ranges depending on the situation.

Bubble play

This is the part that stood out to me the most. The bubble is where most players punt away a ton of EV, and you definitely can't have a static strategy like you outlined. There's really no way to simplify the bubble. It takes hours and hours of study and many more at the tables to make progress in this area. I would focus on bubble play, spend all of your study time on it, then as you learn you can work out from there and refine your strategy in the earlier stages of the game.

Your best bet at improving would be using an ICM program, like ICMIZER, and going over as many spots as you can. I'd also recommend posting hands here so you can get some feedback on how you played them.

Thanks for the reply!

I'll surely put more study in my game especially in the bubble area!

Also I'll see how I'm doing at around 5k sngs like you said haha

oh and how many tables are good to multi table?

Currently I'm doing 6 but I was wondering if you have recommendation on how many tables I could be multitabling!

Thanks in advance!

4-6 is a good amount while you're learning. You should have plenty of time to pay attention, take some notes, and mark a few hands.

Ultimately, SNG regs play 10+ tables at a time. I'd say 10-14 is where I feel most comfortable, but I'll play more if the action is good.

Are you still grinding SNGs? I’ve been looking for some advice and would love to pick your brain if you are?

a person once told me that this is normal, that what must be done is to understand what are the errors that you are commenting and coregirlos them and that in the long run you will see the results

From the brief strategy you outlined, it looks to me like you flat raises too often.
