Ive been playing a few micro-stakes 6max stt lately and beating them quite regularly. Now what i like to know is how many should i play in a session/per day? - to avoid tilt and getting into the play 24/7 zone.
The game seems to be unusually soft on stars (mott) so i recommend them to anyone interested. Aswell id like to know any other strategies people around here have when it comes to them.

Thanks in advance...:stupido2:

I would simply recommend that you play however many tables are the most profitable. How many do you play at a time currently? Also, how many total games have you played? Typically, you need almost 500 SNG's to have a reliable sample on which to draw conclusions about your play and how much money you're truly making.

As far as strategy goes, I play mostly FR SNG's, for which the strategy is to play TAG early, allow two or three people to get knocked out, then start blind stealing relentlessly, and often re-stealing. For 6-max, I would imagine you need to start blind stealing much sooner, as there is much more pressure to accumulate chips.

..... and don't re-ship it in early levels to an EP 3bet w A3s, :D

I haven't played any 6-man SNG's on Stars (but I might just give a few a shot now). On Fulltilt (actually where I find the players tend to be better in the micro level), I actually find playing quite tight early & playing your big hands fast (< usually gets paid off by a guy w TPMK, ie. AK v AT on an A flop). It seems there's always a few super aggro/Loose players in the early levels, feeling they need to get a stack in order to cash. I've always hung tight in them in early levels (have a decent track record although very small sample size) & then turned it up obviously when the blinds go up (also looking to see who defends blinds & who doesn't).

If you type in 6-plyr. sng on Google (or 6max SNG) you'll find sites that are specific to 6man games only.
GL on the tables!

Now, anyone reading this that plays mainly stts could you please give me an indication of your own preffered session lengths.

Umm, no where in your OP did it say how long you were playing the games. You just said "regularly", which is extremely vague. All I'm saying is that if you have a reliable sample size, you can analyze your play and maximize your profit, because no one will ever play a perfect game, and everyone can make improvements. So don't feel like I'm attacking you, please. I would have given a much different response if I thought it was a dumb question.

For me personally, if I wanna get a lot of volume in on a particular day, I'll probably play for no more than two hours before taking a break. I'll load up 4-6 tables, wait for them all to finish, load up 4-6 more, and then stop. I find that anything more than this, at least for me, makes me too tired and tilted.

PO is spot on in saying that your big hands need to be played fast-- pretty much, you should be looking to get it in with TPTK+. Obviously, if you get 3-bet by a nit in the blinds, and you have something like AJ, you have to be careful if you flop TPTK. But generally your opponent won't show as much strength, and you can bet confidently. Besides, you don't have time for better situations to come up.

You said this is your general strategy, which means you have a good idea of how to tackle these games. So keep up the good work, be relentlessly aggressive when the blinds are high, and see you on the tables.
