Hi gang,

Very new to playing poker for real money. You can find my intro thread hear https://www.cardschat.com/forum/intros-foreign-languages-8/introduction-253660/.

I acquired a $6 bank roll a week ago due to making the final table in a $200 freeroll on Betonline. I've been experimenting with different microstakes tournaments and cash games. Here's what I have been playing:

freerolls
$0.05 6Max Sngs
$0.10+$0.01 10 player SnGs
$0.05 18 player SnGs
$0.05 Freezeout MTT (with about 70-80 runners)

I've also played some $0.01/$0.02 cash games but I lost a lot of my bankroll. It's probably insane to put $2.00 on the table at one time at this stage in the game.

The only format where I don't have a positive ROI is the 10 player SnG and of course the cash games. What I'm wondering is if I should try to specialize in either 6Max or 10-man or is it ok to switch back and forth? I seem to do better at 6Max and I can get more sessions in as well but I enjoy a full table more. I'm going to continue to play the freerolls and the freezeouts. I really like MTTs.

If you have any thoughts please leave a reply. Thanks.

Play whatever you like. Its not.life changing money whatever happens. So play the small games and have fun with it. The game you enjoy most is generally the one you will apply yourself more in. So experiment a bit and make that decision for yourself.

Playing on the tables in the 6- max and 10 - max is very different ! A different is starting cards with which you can go on the flop ! In the 6- max starting hands have a wide range ! So I prefer to play the 6- max tournaments ! That the Council and to you!

6max for sure they are quicker and your variance will be lower Nd it will be played deeper! You can play position a lot more and you can fold 85% of hands the first 2-3 levels and find yourself playing 3/4 handed with a half decent amount of blinds! I grinded 6 mans when I first started they are good for teach a little more aggression and position!

6 handed sit and go are better. I think the more people in a tourney, the more luck is involved.
