Really quick....Top 5 stack 27 left, new table no info on players....120bb(500-1000) hero picks up QQ UTG raises it to 2500 folds to BB who 3bet shoves 300bb(chip leader) I call and he has AK and he stacks me. Should I be folding here??? Does variance make this spot too risky

aggressive players are willing to take very risky moves all the time, and then the variance gives different results on the basis of luck

QQ could lose to a lot of hands IMO. You have 120 BB (which is waaaay too much) and you can easily pick a better spot to put your chips in (at least that's what I tell myself every time :D ).

I think you should have folded just based on the fact that your opponent an insanely large amount. If your playing with people who are prepared to do that then just be even more patient. The problem is, there are two overs and your REALLY deep. You don't need to put yourself in a position where your in a pot against the only guy who has YOU covered. A big part of tournaments is avoiding deep stacks and exploiting small stacks.

The problem with this question is that it only applies when you're in a race situation. The more important question is how you think QQ will fare against his range. Another consideration is what you think your odds have to be in order to justify risking your tournament life when you have a pretty comfortable chip position.

it´s a tough decision, by one hand, it´s really hard to fold queens preflop against just one player, but by the other hand you are among the top five in a mtt with 27 left and the opponnent has a bigger stack so you are risking your life too,

you are in UTG so if he 3bets you he should be with a monster otherwise he is a terrible player (and he doesn´t look like that being the fact he is in the top five too), so again is a tough decision, and anyway it´ll always be a coin flip, so if you fold or call i think both approaches are right in this particular case

qq vs ak is a coin flip. What ill gonna do here is simply call and see the flop. If A appears then thats it, I will be on the defensive. If below Queens (flops) then I will stick till the river depending on the bets ofcourse. If he still insist on betting the flop or turn, then I think he has AA or KK, and I fold right in there.

If you have 20 BB it is easy call if you have 120bb it is easy fold, folding your hand here is the right decision, first it is deep in tourney you shouldn't play coin flips vs players that cover you and second you can pick better spot with that pretty nice stack. : )

Yeah, easy fold. You have a lot of chips, you will have a lot of opportunity to fight with him having more knowledge about him. ;)

QQ in late stage against chip leader is better to drop the cards in the case of VA-Bank by the leader!!!

you aim at 1st place, its a great spot to win a big pot
i never fold there
he could also had a mid pair there
in my opinion its a bad play from the chip leader to shove ak there.it would have been better to 3bet you and see the flop first

+1.

You have to consider the Independent Chip Mode concept.

Don't feel too bad. You ended up being ahead with your queens for 240+BB late in a tourney....
