I have a sort of odd question. I played one of the .30+.05 super turbo main event seat qualifier satellites. They pay the top 30, 110 played. However late registration made it so by the time late registration is over only about 75 were there. I received very few good hands, but simply playing tight and going all in when I had a good hand. The tables tend to start stalling big time once they near the bubble as well. I didn't receive very many good hands AT ALL (AJo being my best hand).

My question though is seeing as it seems that with the generally poor play at these levels, mixed with the odds already being roughly 2.5-1 do you think this would be a good tournament to grind out with my super small bankroll of $26 + a $1.10 tourney ticket.

I am paying $0.35 to enter and winning $1.04 or $1.05 (not sure if it rounds up or down). So if I have 2.5-1 odds and am being payed 3-1 that seems profitable. I know variance will be a bitch however it seems within my bankroll and the poor play at these levels would seem to give me an advantage.

Oh and the latest one to run had 60 people when it late registration ended. Please give me your thoughts.

Realize that when you unregister from the traget tournament, you will get you buy-in back in T$ (tournament dollars) and not cash.

If you play mainly tournaments (MTT and SNG), then I think these are very soft tournaments and a good way to profit at the micro level.

But these are super-turbos and therefore have a VERY high variance involved. Be aware it is easy to go on a bad run in these quickly.

I didn't have idea of those. Could be profitable, how much do the pay for the first 30 places?

first 30 win entry
or T$1.00 if you unregister
i find playing the 9player sng easier
same buy in
3rd gets T$ 0.50
top two get entry or T$1

Compared to typical super turbos I've found these to be filled with a ton of players who will call down really wide, not taking into consideration the payout structure or even considering how their hand will do vs. HERO's shoving range. (in other words... I think you've got a better chance in the regular sup turbos)

Hmmm, I enjoy playing the .30 +.05 to the Main Event, usually they guarantee so many seats that you win one hand and you are in. And you can take your time since it is not a turbo. When I win I unregister from the Main Event tourney and am rewarded with a T$1. I looked and I won 7 out of 9 games that I played. It slowly increased the bankroll. Sounds like you might have found a way, using superturbo's to get it done quicker.

Haha, I played these tourneys as well. 35c to enter, and you win 1.10T$. Quite pointless actually.
IMO 75c profit for 20min of folding isnt really worth the effort, kind of a waste of time, but I dont know, just got hooked I guess.
(Later they had 90c foldaments to a 3.30T$ ticket that were even softer.)
