Hey guys, normally i play cash games on pokerstars, but with the FPPs i get i play 84 FPPs sngs to 3.3$ rebuy MTT. when i win one i unregister from the tournament and i get tournament dollars.

With these tournament dollars i play 3.25$ 6 max sngs, i have been doing pretty well, so far i played 79 games and i have been getting in the money 43% of the time. so i got in the money 34 times, 34 times to heads up, now my problem is here, because i have only won 11 times and came in second 23 times and this is really hurting my winnings and i only won 16.85$ with a 7% average ROI.

I have no idea what i am doing wrong, i feel very comfortable playing heads-up in a cash game or in a normal heads-up sng. But here i just seem to get destroyed every time, might be because the blinds are so big since it's a turbo.

I will take any pointers you guys can give me. Thank you!

just made it twice to heads-up, and again i lost twice, once with 66 vs A9, and once with KQs vs A6.

both times i got to heads-up as a marginal chip leader, i really don't know what to do at this point.

Impossible to know, but if you play mostly cashgames, then maybe you need to open up more, play more agressive in position, and change gears a bit.

A simple answer would be its ur opponents fault lolololol.

Simply put. . . a lot of ppl in turbos are gonna be either pushing or playing hands they wouldn’t normally do in a regular hu game.

this in turn, is gonna put you in a lot more coin flips and perhaps persuade u to play more marginal hands that are gonna make u lose more hu sngs than if u played the regular ones.

minor things to consider if u haven’t already playing hu sngs:

A lot of ppl when they play turbo sngs (especially if theyre rocks) is that they get frustrated when they don’t get cards while the blinds keep coming and raising quickly and so… .. . . they dont play their best when the cards aren’t coming. I hope this doesn’t apply to u when ur playing ur turbo hu sngs.

Next, when ur on a losing streak with playing hu sngs, the last thing u want to do is be the 1 sitting there waiting for some1 to showup. U want to have a chance to scope out ur competition and not play some1 that is a winning player at that level.

Another thing is, I don’t know ur skill level but if your playing a particular game at the same limit and like everyday lolol - ur gonna run into the same players down the line. And ur old tricks of beating them might not work or work as well as they did before. Ur gonna have to act accordingly.

The sample u give there is kinda small 79 games? Not a lot. But overall I wouldn’t get too judgmental over a few wins or loses because these things could be really streaky.

But what I would consider is how well u played em. Is ur game consistent (what I mean here is did you u use ur “A” game when u lost or did u make a play during that sng u lost where a big question mark goes up? Id relook that hand history and look for other ways u coulda avoided that 1 or 2 hands or whatever that cost u that match.

and for some reason if u come up with the answer that nope, theres no way I coulda avoided that situation, it might be time to get a second opinion. Lolol.
