$200 Free Roll at Carbon Poker

So i am very new to the game but I have come to realize that the structure of the $200 FR at carbon poker is quite disgusting. You only start with 1000 chips and the blinds go up every 7 min. I usually try to play a tight aggressive style but I found when I do this in that tourney, I end up getting eaten by the blinds pretty quickly. Does anyone have any advice on how to make it through without taking huge risks or going all in on every good hand you get. That seems to be what everyone does. Just not my style. Very difficult to wade through 5000 people taking risks like that. Any help is appreciated!:stupido2:

No problem

Oh, and don't play donkfests.

Just wait for a decent hand and try get it all in. Think you start with 50bbs in these so you have some time to wait. Most players play crazy in these so you should have no trouble getting paid off if you do make a hand. Run good and you got a chance, run bad and just play the next one that comes around.

I played one of these the other morning was up early not as many in the 8 am one, I had AA guy called my allin with j4d and got 2 pair, I guess its any 2 live cards.

just placed 19th out of 4999 people on the free roll! guess you just have to play like a donk until your stack is big enough!

With that structure you will be in shove/fold mode very quickly so just pick your spots and go with it.

You might have as you put it "played like a donk" but there are people who win who don't play like a donk...they adjust their style of play in order to win the game and there is a difference.

Well the thing is you answered your own question and didn't like the answer - so we figured you weren't going like it from a total stranger either
