re: Poker & 2 different ways to play bubble? which one is better and why?
depends on your stack size.. what i tend to do is put myself into "groups" of stack sizes instead of #of bb's "M" is generally useless in 9 handed sng.
for example, theres one stack of 6000, another villain and i have around 3000, and one villian is left with 1500.
regardless of the blinds and antes.. were looking ok, were comfortable here.. so were not going to be doing anything silly like shoving all in light v the bigger stacks.. however we will be shoving somewhat light against the smaller stack.. as his calling range is so tight its and unexploitable play to do so.
however if we reverse it and were the 1500 stack.. were not comfortable, so were looking to survive, but still trying to shove in good spots, so the blinds dont dwindle our stack awaay..
now when we become the big stack. then we can pretty much raise and shove at will.. calling ranges are super tight.. and even if were called were sitting in good chip position.. having the big stack on the bubble is what i like to call " a slam dunk"
mastering bubble play in sng is vital.. its where most of the money you make in sng comes from..
