Yeah, Pretty sick.

$1,000,000 Buy-In with top spot getting 18 million with even 2nd spot getting over 10 million. 48 Entries and 11.1% of the purse going to a charity. Nice to see how the other half lives. BTW at level 9 Hellmuth is in 2nd place in chips.

Nice to see how the other .005% lives..
FYP

Kind of reminds me of what it was like when I took a "buyers" tour of houses, where the lowest was like 6 mill asking price.

yeah i been watching the live feeds since day one today is the final table live on espn and espn 2 ....cant wait.....pretty absurd that someone with $0 in lifetime earnings could be the the all time money leader before the day is over ABSOLUTELY NUTS!!!.....me personally im hoping david einhorn wins he said he is donating 100% of his winnings to charity...but more than likely it will be antonio or sam trickett taking first since they have huge chip leads over the rest of the field

It's over - Antonio Esfandiari took it down, with Sam Trickett taking second - Hellmuth came in 4th.

The payout structure was even more unusual. I think 5th place made only 1.8 million for a 1 million dollar buy-in. 800k is nothing to sneeze at but seemed small for the buy-in price.

The charity donations cut into the payouts and they paid out among top 30-35% I think.

But 18 Mill for a first place WoW even if he was backed into this event he still just boosted his BR tremendously.

Think we will be seeing alot more of Antonio and Laak playing Live Highstakes Poker in the future.

$18m seems small?? It was only a field of 48. And 11% of the buy-in cost was taken out of the prize pool and went to charity.

Top 20% were paid - 9 places.

Payouts were roughly:
1st -> $18.4m
2nd -> $10.1m
3rd -> $4.3m
4th -> $2.6m
5th -> $1.8m
6th -> $1.6m
7th -> $1.4m
8th -> $1.2m
9th -> $1.1m

I thought it was a pretty terrible payout structure. Too much money concentrated in the top 3 spots. You needed to get 5th or better to even double the buy-in.

I would be curious to know how much Antonio was staked and what percentage is his.

Yeah, not a bad win for Antonio at all! Would love to play in a tournament like that one day.. Crazy money though.
