I'm in early position with 23k....LAG chip leader UTG with 80k....button and cutoff both have 20k blinds are 250/500 Im currently 12th of 35 top 27 get paid sooooooooo.

Chip leader raises to 1k(like he has past round!!!) I call with KQs and the cutoff, button, small and big blinds both call. Flop comes K92 rainbow and chip leader bets 500 and I raise to 5k and the cut-off calls and everyone folds.

Turn is K and I ship and get called and he has full house. Should I have 3bet preflop?? I know its all hindsite but I feel like I should have cause they got me busted.

What did cut-off have, 99 in the hole? If so, I doubt a 3bet woulda shooshed him away. An unsuited K 9 or less then maybe it would have. Not sure I would have played it much different. A re-pop may have allowed you to know where you stand but that board would have killed you any way. It was one of those hands that is hard to get away from.

I agree with hobonc if he is sitting there with 2 pair there is no way he is gonna fold that even if you 3bet him.

Correct. You beat a huge portion of his range and sometimes u gotta suck it up. After all we are playing poker. Better luck next time

Yeah he had 99 and playing from early I didn't want to start building a big pot with KQ preflop

I wouldn't play KQ in your situation, but if I was in your place I would of 3 bet

I actually 3bet here because I'm looking to isolate the LAG player in position and I know a flat here probably gets a lot more involved. We can generally get a LAG stack heads up if we spike our K and play it right.

Man those hands always get you in trouble.. Your lucky he didn't have AK that would've stung a lil bit deeper i believe.

I'm learning this week to actually play these hands very cautiously.
