Just wondering what maybe your strategies are for hold em tournaments or either just what you think of mine?
If you read through it there another question at bottom
This is my tournament strategy for Hold em'
When blinds are small I tend to limp in and call the majority of the blinds since i realize that early on when the BB is only 30 chips and you have 1.5K chips and a semi desent hand your not that far off from winning
In my opinion any 2 cards can win a hand if its 7 2 or AA...
So i basically play Loose and Passive I also tend to stay away from a raises depending on my hand
Once I begin to win though and start taking a good size stack i slow become Loose and Aggressive depending on my opponent still being cautious of the raise or trap "Call to river than huge bet by opponent"
Then when it slowly comes down closer to the money I completly switch my playing style to Tight and Passive so I tend to only play good cards and start of with a raise or maybe play a trap by just calling and give a big raise
One of my questions is that when I have a large stack compared to majority of player in a Tournament should I switch to that Tight Passive player or should i just keep playing Loose and Aggresive?
One thing i notice is that when i dont see as many hand and i play Tight if i lead off with big bet and dont hit im in a loosing situation I usually end up ITM 80% of the time with this strategy but never make it that far cause when I play "Tight" ill have the best hand and play it like that with monsterous bets and kids will just keep calling and calling and win on the river to cut my chips in half or bigger.
