$1 12k Qualifer-What a Donkfest!

I just got ko'd in the $1 12k package 5 package guarantee on full tilt poker. WHAT A DONKFEST, BUT WHAT WOULD YOU EXPECT FROM 12,000 PLAYERS AND A $1 BUY-IN WITH $.30 HYPERTURBO SATELLITES. Very first hand I had AKos, and utg+2 shoves I call he shows AQ and I double up quickly. I get up to 7.8k with smart playing and watch people 3bet shove with j4os and q4s, etc. A donkey who now has 9k utg raises, I have AA on the button, I make a stardard 3bet about 3x. He flats. Flop Qxx he check minraises my 2/5 pot bet, I shove he calls and rolls over QJos, then turns a J. What a joke.

yeah dude, thats the bad part of playing donkaments, when you're on a late stage, you can get beat by a stupid bad beat and loose the tournamnet a few places before the prize, that's really common on these kinds of tournamnets
unfortunately, thats poker, if you want to play a better game you should put some money in and go straight for a level higher than 1$

Play supertight until the 4th or 5th level-most of the all in donks are gone.

All $1, $2 and freerolls are like this. They are very frustrating to play but once you're able to get past the idiots it gets fun.

I know tight play is the way to go, but with AA and I see a guy who I know could be going all the way with QJ push my 3 bet (as happened to OP) do i want to lay down? I personally will not be able to do that. My Qs, maybe; AK, maybe, these depend on the usual things, position, players to follow, reads etc. Ks I doubt it (even tho they will go all in with Ax as well).
So tight is the way to play, but you cant be laying down premiums every time you get pushed, cause you will be pushed so often in these. And it can be a good way to build early big stacks, if you choose your spots (and dont suk out lol) Bus as I said, it depends. If I raise UTG with AK, get a re raise followed by an all in early game, I will let em eat each others lunch, but with AA, its a fight.

Having said that, bolda, that happens, it suks but take the punch and roll back up.

lol,enjoy the big match,sometimes you can not play as you play style in this match,who knows you can not change the 1$ to $12000,just think that you lose the 1$ in the SNG and not mind it.anyway it is very funny in this match.
