Your actions on a raise in front of you, if you have an ACE with a small kicker?

I often wonder whether to call a raise if I have an ACE and small kicker, ACE 6 offsuit for example. If the stack is not very big, so you did?

I dump my cards. The opponents probably have a better hand.

And suddenly you have your kicker on the flop, he continuation bet, you call, he check, you bet.

It would depend what cards came up on the flop. If an ace came up but you missed your kicker i would fold because the person raising probably has a pair of aces with a higher kicker card. thats just my 2 cents. I am an amateur player.

It's not that simple
Depends on the position, the tourney & the level of the tourney & your stack or whether it's a cash session
A6 off is 90% time a fold for me.
In a cash game I'd only open something like A6off in Bu,CO or SB.

In a tourney so many factors come to play. But if you have a decent stack, there's no point in calling a raise or opening a pot with A6 off in early to mp.

Ace with a lower kicker is not a great hand. Specially to continue 3 streets in a pot. But it has its showdown value because of the ace which comes to play in short stacked game in tourneys.

Fold, think there is a very small chance you're cards are better. Or in a very few times....bluff and go all in, But that depends on huis/her previous behaviour

Only play suited Ax with a small kicker (A-J suited and below). The only offsuit you play is AQ+. Even then, with suited you're really looking for the flush. If you don't hit two pair or flush draw with your suited A on the flop then fold if they make a continuation bet. The only exception to this is in a heads up match, but even then much more to consider.

IMO

If it's cash and the stacks are deep, it changes things. With suited Ace in a deep stack game I'm prepared to see a flop. Ideally for the minimum from out of position. A deep stack game is an implied odds game (ie. what you can win). If you have to put in 3 BB to win 80 BB it seems worthwhile.

i would fold this, because if the flop hits an ace, and the other guy also has an ace with a higher kicker, your butt is gonna get kicked. It always happens to me that's why am saying this... hehe

I usually fold, and kick myself when the 66 comes on the flop.
