MTT's with low buy-in

I would play more MTT's with a low buy-in, like anywhere between .25 cents and .50 cents. Pick out a few Dollar MTT's that pay out well and avoid cash games. Sometimes Sit-n-Go's are ok- but they can be addictive, even when loosing, so I would try to avoid these as well.

On pokerstars, to get the most of a small amount of money, its definitely advantageous to take part in the daily/weekly challenges.

An example of the daily challenges is play in one SnG, play in one BIG Trny, Play one Spin-n-Go, etc., etc. Some have requirements of playing more than one, or having to cash in a specific trny. Also, the Cardhunt challenges, and now the new MTT Schedule Quest. When you complete these requirements (depending on the challenge/quest), you are given cash, a ticket that you can use in PS Freeroll Trnys of your choice, or entries into bigger trnys like an upcoming 50k Trny.

You can make a small amount go a long way with a little luck. Not just for the possibility for winning, but for also accumulating Starscoin.

How patient are you and how much time can you spend in the tournament? My strategy was to play small buy in MTT's with regular blind levels, not turbos. Turbos require a lot of luck because the blinds go up so quickly and the starting stacks are usually small. Very easy to be forced to play marginal hands or get blinded out. If you can go a few hours, you can be much more patient with regular blind levels, and you can afford to wait for decent cards and good spots. I also played 1/2 cents cash games, but you have to be careful because you money can disappear quickly if you don't pay attention. When I went away from this strategy, a took a bath. Got too ****y too fast. Had to start over. Now I'm back to grinding away, trying to work my way back.

Yea cash games the money will go extremely quick, better to do 25 or 50 cent buy in tournaments, and if those go well throw in a 1 dollar here and there to sneak in a decent cash. I play on acr and they run a 25 cent plo tournament and I've won it for 9 bucks and typically cash in the 1-3$ range, pick a game u feel u have an edge in, whether it be plo, knockout, or just regular Holden and stick to that. Since your arguably risking your bankroll in every tournament, play one table at a time at most and make it count. Unless u have a hud and don't have to pay attention as much

Hi,
I'd go with the jackpot sit and go on acr for 2 dollar buy in. I've built (and lost, hes right they are addictive) a good bankroll with them.

But then again Im a member and still cant figure out how to find the stinkin password to tonights game on ACR. Im a "new Member" and have over 20 posts. If anyone can help, please pm me.

What to do

This post will mostlikely get deleted like almost all of my others have, but if it were me with the bankroll I'd try 6 man sit and go's. You can build your stack pretty quickly as long as your able to walk away after a few victories and cool off until your next MTT. You can go from 5 dollar sit and go's on ACR to 30 dollar sit and go's in a few hours if you're patient. Good luck to you!

If you win $20 in freeroll, what would be your strategie to build a bankroll?

Start playing at low -value tables when you are earning at least half of the tables you are playing it is time you go up a level . I advise you to always have a value of 100x the value of the buy-in of the table you are playing . If you have patience and study a little , I believe que very soon greatly Increase your bankroll !

Yesterday I was moving forward to THE BIG HIT. We're on the bubble, I've got Aces in the button, I raised 2,13bb, bigblind shove his 180k chips. I called with my 153k and he shows up 59o.

Guess what!

Flop: 687.

Goodbye, bankroll! hahahahahahahahahhaha

4 out of 5 times you win, that's the reason you only want to risk a small percentage of your bank roll on each buy in, to allow for variance. With $20 you should only try micro stakes cash and sng until you can build your bankroll up a bit and then gradually increase your buy in as you become successful at each level.

No matter how good you are at poker... You still have to follow a strict bankroll.

If you had played the $0.25 45/90 or the $0.55 bounties or the bigs and suffered a bad beat as you just did... You could go on to fight another day... Now you have to start from scratch.

Dont squander away your BR... Stick to the games you can afford to lose.

MTT is a good step. At the begining lower and then higher buy-ins.

Usually i would play 20 cents sng or mtt, but sometimes i can play higher tournament for example $0.50 buy-in. For me, the bigger buy-in - more fun to play and more exciting game.
