WPT Boot Camp, I'm disappointed a little
I just downloaded some IPhone
apps from the WPT boot camp, they have a series of "poker trainers". I like it, but was surprised at some of the errors in the text portion (where it explains the what and why of what you just did). In one, It counted the outs correctly, only It said "4-9's and 4 aces", which was flat out wrong! Some of sentences were horribly off.
That being said, I think it's a great tool, but you have to watch out for these errors. And it's not exactly going to help you in those "sticky" situations, but it is really good at pointing out the basics, everything from C-betting to poker odds
. Now, if only I could find an online game where they followed these "recommendations" (lol).
One other thing that did surprise me was a recommendation to call a 3 way all in with a straight flush draw, and not to the nuts either. As MTTS are survival, I would have to decide where I was before I tried that one. I mean, if close to the money bubble or the next major jump in pays, I might be more inclined to let the other two knock themselves out, and get paid, rather than risking it all by calling a 3-bet all in.
Anyone else out there try these IPhone apps?
