I see many players saying that they pay courses to learn poker, as far as this is valid, today we find almost everything on the internet and most important of all, free.
We find everything from video lessons to full courses, many say that players who already have a certain fame may be better than others, so how far is that true?
My question is: have you ever paid for a course to learn poker, if your answer is yes ... I would love to know who your instructors were, and what else did you find interesting in this course, and more, did you get good results from this, What was the minimum cost you already spent on poker courses?

Knowledge is everything in a person's life, so if studying and practicing makes you victorious, it's worth trying every time.:):)

Are you serious? What,s the point to pay someone, if you can find lots of free information in the videos in the web, and also you can read some poker books. Of course, i heard, that some people pay money for other people, who called them selves "poker guru", but not sure, that this people is good enough. It,s really easy to find different poker sessions for free at youtube.

You could enroll in a poker school. Also, if you like music, you could enroll in The School of Rock. Or, even better, just throw you money in the trash.

before paying for instruction and someone explaining my faults,, I would want to make sure that i'm comfortable with the instructor
As like going to school ,we all learn more from some teachers , more then others, so before paying i would perfer a small amount of time with the person teaching me,before contributing $$$

I think courses could be okay, no different than paying for a book. Having good poker players review your hands helps too, but I'm not sure if an instructor is needed if you have the time to put in the work on your own.

There is value in having your games critiqued though. That's why hand review forums and discussions are so popular. In that regard, I can't say definitively that paying an instructor is a bad idea - it all depends on why you're paying them, and how much.

What an instructor will teach you is basically what already exists on the internet. But some people find it hard to learn and find someone better giving tips and passing content. Others pay for instructors thinking this will turn into future profits.

If the instructor is really good, he will not waste time offering mini courses, let's face it. With the exception of classroom-sponsored instructors.

It seems to me that it will be more effective to deal with a poker coach than himself. But not everyone can afford to pay for lessons in poker. I've heard that even professional players have a coach, it always improves your game

Yes. I normally offer $25 per hour, on top of any winnings that I make off of you.

I'm actually developing a beginner's course that I hope to have the first part of online. I've spent upwards of six months combining tons of information from many, many sources that I am putting together along with my own input and which I feel will be one the most complete beginners courses available. The course for the most part will be free.

The question was to give each other poker as a hobby or as a job....

If you have the opportunity to pay for a poker coach, then I personally think that the view from the side definitely will not hurt! Sometimes you are wrong, thinking that you are doing the right thing, but it's not at all!

I agree with you, I never paid anyone to teach me, I get everything free on the web, but as I said in my post, there are many people who do this do not you?
And that was the question, if anyone has already done that and if it has had results

Honestly, I would never pay for instructor. I like to learn things by myself and we already have everything on the internet. So yeah, there are far more arguments for not to pay for instructor.

I'm surprised at how many people wouldn't hire a coach, presuming you could afford one. Poker is all about getting continuous edges over your opponents and if a coach could help you improve by even 5% your ROI could be huge and pay for itself.

Nowadays thanks to the technology through the internet we can find many sites that teach how to play poker for free ... as well as the different platforms of online poker offer classes, courses and much information that allow one to train and learn Every day to improve our game. With all this available to all people I do not think it necessary to pay someone to teach us to play poker

Many people say that this helps a lot in the high limits of the game, but the coach must show stable results in poker now because the game changes all the time - it costs about $ 500 per lesson

I watched different videos lessons and not many were pleasant. but if the trainer helps to come to high limits. will competently explain, point to mistakes in my game. I now unambiguously play better, than 5 years ago. if has addressed the trainer, perhaps with would save time. but I everything exactly won't look for trainers.

I don't think I would ever pay for poker lessons. The main reasons is that it is a hobby for me and I don't intend making it a profession.

If I did have the intention to make it a profession I would start from the free lesson that are available online, but if you have the intention of becoming a really top player and you are willing to pay some cash for training then I can't see any reason why couldn't give a go.

I would, they can help you find flaws in your game and improve a lot. I have a friend that after paying a coach is a monster at poker, so I think its worth the money.

I believe that if you want go to the next level and you want to become a winning poker player then hire a poker coach is a must. Not because you can't find a ton of information on the internet but because you need a personalized review of your game.

I have watched a coaching from a very good player on the youtube and I have realized that there were so many spots that were so well clarified from the coach. He explained why you should make some bets , the sizings what you representing etc.

If you play recreationally and you don't have the time to put on poker then apparently paying for coaching is a waste of money!
