What is the worst starting hand in Hold’em? I always thought it was 2 and 3 but I've seen people raise pre flop with them and win big!

7-2 not suited, as these are the lowest cards that you cant make with it flush, neither a streight (and use both of the cards)

I've started to limp in with 27o and it has been working better than my favorite hands. Even though it's not supposed to. Haha

23 offsuit is the worst hand possible because in a heads up 27 will beat 23 off 55.87% of the time against 25.97%, so no matter how weak 27 off is, 23 off is the worst hand you can have in nl holdem.

You are right that in 1vs1 situation 27 off is a better hand than 23 off, but against other hands in a long run 23 is more profitable than 27 because the better chance of getting street.

In this situation 72 is better, but in a multiways 23 is better, because this hand has better potential than 72.

27o is worst hand because no straight or flush possibilities, and therefor no draws after the flop.
BUT for some reason my worst starting hand (mostly superstition) is 5-10 offsuit.

Speaking of statistics, low numbers are bad, but I think the worst possible hands are QQ and JJ, because they are couples who do you think is in front, but it's complicated you do not pay the bets and often with these hands you loses large amounts.

i disagree. i have been making some poker odds calculations and 72 off is ahead in most scenarios on a multiway pot against 23 off even when more than 1 player is involved in the hand. only if villain has a middle or high pair then 23 is better than 27 otherwise 27 has more odds to win the hand than 23 off.

Hand-rankings both HU and multi0way have been determined using simulations and the 23 is more profitable than 72 in multi-way pots because of the potential for straights with 23. This is a mathematical fact --- not an opinion.
