Which hands do you feel are the potential the worse to play?
Talking about a full ring game.
Trap Hands:mine are K9 Q8 J7 10 6 just cause they can be trap to a higher straight. Also A2-5 can also be trapped to higher kicker or higher straight.
I rather play 7 2 then those the above hands

You really prefer 72 to A2?

And why would u play J7 or Q8? Utter trash hands. I would only play them from the btn if I thought I could steal the blinds easily.

For me the worst is prob something like AJ, looks very nice but u can get outkicked easily

If the pot was limped I wouldnt play either except if i was in the BB and hope I dont hit on the flop so I can throw it away.
However there was no one in the pot and I was the button or BB i rather play 2 7 to steal the blind or resteal if dealer open a lot of pots. If I get called then I rather pair 2 or 7 than a K and be outkicked

I would not play J7 Q8 they are trash hands
I like AJ in the 6max tables.
AJ can be a problem hand in a FR table.

You should play none of those hands unless you find yourself in a situation that warrants it, which rarely ever comes up.

You must not like making money.

Trap hands are very relevant to the type of game to.
Holdem games I see a lot of higher straights trap lower straights, occasionally see higher flushes trap lower flushes.
In omaha I see more higher full house trap lower full house or quads trap full house not sp much in holdem

Take a look at a good starting hand chart to give you a basic idea of what to start with in what position. This will obviously need to be modified based on the table, but it's a good start for beginners. Leak Buster has a good one, and you can get it in the free trial. There are others available, but I found this one to be pretty solid.

IMO the only thing that makes these trap hands is if they are played , however the only trap being set is upon the person playing them thinking they can get a positive outcome on a consistent basis.

I think that's why he called them trap hands-hands to get trapped by vs hands to trap with.

The idea of a trap hand is really relative to your opponents range. Versus a 9/7 KJo is definitely a trap hand (likely to be dominated versus his range). Versus a 60/40 however we might be dominating him.

I was playing in a loose live game and playing AQ and hit a A hi straight while the other player I was in played Q 9 also hit straight K hi We both got all stacks in. That what I mean about trap hands. AA KK are hands that can be cracked rather than trap meaning they look good preflop rarely get better I think it
can not get trapped with the community cards.

Any hand can make the second nuts, worrying about having the second nuts losing to the nuts isn't going to help you.
