(PLO - Pot Limit Omaha?)
If yes, then this type of poker isn't so hard as you think. (I thought same, before I learned it :D).
Can you specify what exactly you want to know? - How to play or the best strategies?

yeah im currently learning pot limit omaha high ,im improving but id like to better at the maths of the game , also im interested in hearing your thoughts on strategy , and where you are in the game , anything of importance you think somebody would need to know , i dont play with a tracker right now ,i generally play 2 tables on 2/5c plo ,im building a bankroll and grinding my way up to the next stake , i have been playing omaha a few years but never took it seriously until a month ago when i decided to make the change from HE , so if you are ahead of me and im assuming you are then id love to hear any thoughts you have on the game and cash games at PLO plus more in depth maths on common situations and correct decision making, anyway thanks mate

I think what he asked was for an easy and quick way to calculate equity in a hand

I'm no expert but I think that you are dead on that it is very difficult to quickly work out your equity, and because of the complexity there is no simple formula like 4&2
It seems like stating the obvious but it comes down to gauging (or is it guesstimating) your opponent's possible hands and then weighing up whether your outs are good.
In Jeff Hwang's excellent 1st book– PLO: The Big Play Strategy, he's basically looking at how many outs he has to the Nut Straight/Flush. If you're not drawing to the nuts and meet strong resistance you should probably assume that your outs are not good.
I can strongly recommend all of Jeff Hwang's books though (read in order with Big Play Strategy 1st)

I don't think calculating pot odds in PLO is straightforward. You have pure outs and some you have to discount because they might win you the pot.

I think the best way to learn is to keep taking your all in hands to a poker calculator. You'll start getting a general sense of the odds for certain situations. The more you play the better you'll get at hand ranging opponents also. Once you can do that, combine the two to make your best educated guess on true outs and partial outs
