Win Rate Chart question

This is my first ever post on here, so hey guys! My name is Steven, I played my first game of poker earlier this year in January and have been hooked ever since.

I recently bought "The Illustrated Guide to NL Holdem" by Dennis Purdy and in one of the sections he briefly lists a win rate chart of every possible hand that you could have and its respective win rate. How useful is this? It seems a little arbitrary to me but at the same time I think it could be useful for a beginner like me just to have a general sense of each hand and its value.

its impossible for anyone draw any chart
You go all in with AA and some fish call with 34 or 56 and make a trip
Unbelievable!!!
Not that he makes the trips....but to go all in with trash cards
