What have you found to be more profitable post Black Friday? tournaments or cash games? I've been running pretty unlucky late in tourneys and am trying to change it up but do not have a good cash game record and am a little on tilt about my courant run. I'd love to get some constructive opinions

I usually win more from tourneys because I like more playing tourneys than cash tables , but you can make money easier on cash tables than on tourneys. It only depends on where you feel more comfortable , on tourneys or cash tables.

Yea you can make more money faster on cash tables and loose it just as fast. I try to stray away from the cash tables but carbon tournies aren't that great and usually all end around 4am which is when I start playing so I dabble in a bit of both.

Everyone has their own preference but I make my $ playing sit and go's, smaller field and I like the fact that everyone starts at the same stack, unlike cash where someone can steamroll you.

I play cash and tourney, live and online. I make more money in cash games because I can play more hands on multiple streets pretty well. In tourneys my pre flop selection is less speculative and pivotal play is on the flop. Cash is usually an odd transition for tourney players because of the increased implied value of speculative hands on multiple streets. If you would like to play better in cash games I would suggest buying a cash game book or searching for some threads on playing multiple streets. Another good resource is Bart Hanson on you tube. He has several podcasts about play on specific streets in cash games. He also has a lot of pro guests who discuss cash game strategy.

anyway, easiest way- make own push-table by Nash equilibrium and start to grind SNG, but definetely boring method to do it, its not poker, just math

I would say tournaments. Cash games CAN be profitable if you are consistent and play in your limits.

It comes down to personally preference I guess. It is obviously easier to hit a big score in a tourney (ie, $10 buyin with a $1500 first place prize), and cash games is more of a steady profit/loss, in my opinion.

It's all personally preference. Some people like to play tourneys better, some people like to play cash games better. It's probably best to try both and see how you do in each one.

Tournaments are going to be much higher variance, where as cash is more constant.

From my perspective it is easier to for a beginner to win cash at tourney because variance can go to your favor and you can cash pretty good sometimes, that is my case, im still a loosing player at cash because i still make -ev decisions that can survive at mtt but at cash makes you loosing money...

Cash tables can bring you quick money as they can consume what you have. Tournaments can be a good chance for you to win one can get good money. However, the variance is too great.
Best to build a bankroll are the S & G. Have less variance. However, it takes longer to get good money.
