Why was I pinned at 0% to win the hand?

At this point pokerstars puts me on 0% chance to win the hand. Although if I hit my Ace, it would have worked in my favour. Did they put me at 0% because they knew there were no other Aces in the deck that could help? That is my only guess honestly.

An ace wouldnt help you here. Even if an ace comes you'll have AAJ87 (pair of aces). Your Opp. Has A8777 (three of a kind). No river card can come that will beat that.

If you hit your A, the board pair gives him a full house. You are drawing dead as the calculator correctly shows.

You're half right.

If the original poster would have gotten a third ace he would have had AAAJ8 (Three of a kind)

However a 2nd ace on the board means that his opponent would improve to a full house: 7s full of Aces. (777AA > AAAJ8) Full house > 3 of a kind

Thus drawing dead when opponent hits a set on the turn.

Thank you guys for the help. It has been a big grind today and my brain is not functioning at 100% (that's when you know its time to stop) - easy error corrected and thank you guys for the timely replies.

Edit: thankfully it was a VERY small pot as well as I played this hand very poorly. Just happy to get the experience and move forward. Once again cannot thank you guys for the reply.
