In omaha you are forced to play 2 cards from your hand at showdown.

You have 22AKQ, he has 101022Q.

You would have to have 2 spades in your hand to make a flush

In Omaha you HAVE to use 2 cards from your hand and 3 from the board.

In omaha you MUST use 2 of your hole cards, it used to mess me up thinking I had a hand but didn't

You select the best 2 cards in your hand and combine it to the best 3 cards on the board.

when just start to play omaha make the similar mistakes) better to learn rules before start any other kind of poker!

have to use two of your cards at showdown. Same with when the board makes three of a kind, that is always a common mistake for beginners.

The truth is that it has two pairs 2 2 10 10 and uses Kicker lady to form the best five-card hand. Notice the letters highlighted in yellow. And as others have said you are required to use two cards in this variant. But why not study the rules before embarking on a new way?

It's because you don't have the flush (& have a sh1tty hand).

In Omaha you need to use two of your holecards.
(just thought it needed to be mentioned again... in keeping with the superb bump)

you had only K of spades. You had to have 1 more card in spades. cuz they are watching 2 hole cards and the cards on the table. If you had KJ of spades for example you would win it

You play real-money tournament and dont you know rules? You need use 2 you owned cards and 3 on board.

You need 2 spade in your hole card to complete the flush.You only have one king of spade.The villain won with pair 10s and deuce.

You need to use two spades in your hand, one on the board, one in your opponent's hand, and one on the very bottom of the deck to make your flush in Omaha. Unfortunately too many spades are on the board now and your hand got counterfeited. If the other player has no spades he'll tell you to go fish, but you do not pass go or collect $200 in that instance.

lol this happened me aswell when I played omaha for the first time. At the beginning I thought like 7778 is a good hand because I have triples lol..
