Been playing a lot of PLO lately and ventured into some Hi/Lo as well, even thought i was getting decent until I was unable to figure this hand out and think I might have a fundamental misunderstanding of the game (and dont want to play again until i figure it out)

In the attached hand, why does the hand at the top win the lo?

Isnt A3657 a better lo than 23647?

if the image cant be read, the hands are:

4233 and A5KJ on a board of 737J6 and i scooped with 4233

"Note that a low hand is always ranked from its highest card downwards."
So
764** beats 765**

OK, your 42 was a better low than A5. The low is read from the top down....so 4 is lower than 5.

Haha we spent a half hour one night googling and giving our phones to one of our buddies while playing Omaha hi/lo and he thought we were cheating him out of 1/2 the pot lol

He said he thought the A trumped everything and has been playing wrong for 20 years! ROTF

We still give him a hard time to this day.

Good luck !

Because low's combination of ace to seven is older than two to seven.
