Only 5 cards count. Not 6 cards and not highest other card. In this case, the five cards for both hands is a king high straight.

NOTE:- If two players have a straight, the player with the highest-ranking card wins. Both players have a King high straight (9TJQK). The highest ranking card for both hands, is a King. Remember, only the five cards that make up the straight count. Suits don't count in straights.

You can use as many or as few of the community cards to give you the highest hand possible in this case both players used all of the community cards giving both players the K high straight.

Split pot, though if there's a side pot for the higher stack than I guess you could say the higher stack is an even bigger winner.

It's a 50-50 split. Perfectly balanced, as all things should be.
