Badugi is a whole other kettle of fish, it's poker-like but doesn't technically use the standard poker hands.
Deuce-seven DOES use the standard poker hands, it just awards the pot to the WORST hand. So aces are high, straights are bad and flushes are bad... which is why 75432 is the best possible hand.
Razz and ace-to-five ignore straights and flushes, and aces are low, so the "best" hand in those games is 5432A.
Most split pot games (like Omaha Hi-Lo and Stud Hi-Lo) use the razz/ace-to-five hand rankings, with the added stipulation that low hands must be an 8 or lower to qualify.
