As someone who's just not very good at math in general, where can I learn the poker related math? Are there any reliable / good sources? Or am I better off hiring a math tutor to teach me and see if they can't cater their classes to poker based math?

There is poker books and poker sites about this, read as much as you can and you'll understand. The math in poker isn't that hard even for someone who's not good at math, there are a lot of simple methods to apply to your game. The more you play the more comfortable you'll be with the math part.

I also need to work on the math side of the game. The link listed above is a good starting point. I remember someone mentioning a poker math workbook that was very good, but I don't remember the name of it...I believe the author is Doug Hill. Part of learning the math also depends on how you learn best. If videos are your thing, there are quite a few on twitch that are good.

Something helpful I stumbled across on Youtube when I began was a series of videos by "greenbeanvideos"... If you're familiar with Khan Academy, they are produced in a similar style. He goes over a lot of the simple concepts you find in poker books, including the math of some of the more common hand matchups.

If all else fail, download a equity calculator :)

I like the idea of spending lots of time playing with a calculator at the beginning of your poker learnings; Sklansky seems to consistently recommend this in his writings. :)
