It depends.

Welcome here. For a more informed response, we need more info in the question ;)

Raise pre-flop substantially. But if you get re-raised, just call, don't shove. Then wait and see what happens on flop. If you hit a set, shove away. If not but an Ace or King comes up, consider yourself in trouble.

i never fold them pre flop but some times just call 3-bets and dont shove.post flop many times you have to fold them.the only way to fold them is when you play a satellite, you are 99,9% in the money and you dont have to risk against a big stack.you know you are better there and most of times he have any 2 but there is no reason to go on a showdown.you dont want to finish in the first place, you just want to win the ticket

I strongly disagre with "never fold them preflop". I have folded QQ preflop many times and I've usually been correct in my assessment that I'm either behind or flipping. I have occasionally folded QQ and the other 2 players show up with AQ and JJ....doh! but you can't be right all the time and I think overall, my preflop folds with QQ have saved me many chips, and saved me my tourney life much more than they've cost me.

That said....it's really a shame if you can't at least see a flop with QQ. I rarely fold them preflop.

Here are the kinds of flops I'll fold QQ on:

AKx with 1 bet

AT9 with 1 bet and 1 call

AJx with 1 bet and a call

89T with a flush draw with 1 bet and a raise, or 1 bet and 2 calls

789 all the same suit with 1 bet and 1 call

Here are the kinds of flops I'll pot control with QQ on: basically any flop that doesn't contain a Q!!!

For me there's many things to consider before folding or when playing QQ. Chip size, what position, read on the opponent etc. One example where I would fold QQ is if my opponent is a tight/cautious player with average stack and re raise me pre flop, I would fold. Another example is if flop has an A or K and my opponent shoves after my c-bet I would fold. I play QQ aggressive more against loose players and fold more to tight players. If I can't get a read on someone like if I just joined a table, I try to limp in to see the flop. Reason is I don't know how that person plays, they could be limping in the pot too with AA, trying to slow play AA. I've seen this happened many times. Also if I'm in position and have a good read at the table, will shove all in on low chip count if there's a few limpers. I hope this helps, btw if you need better advise next time your question should be "how to play QQ"

This pocket pair - a monster. Preflop raise advise any number of times until the shove. However, pocket queens - is no longer so sure hand as aces and kings. If the board came an ace or a king, in many situations you're beaten. Therefore, the presence of older monsters - direct pointing to fold.

If there is a raise and a reraise infront, you have to run the ladies.

Your pot equity at this situation is your just second best.

Goodluck...
