You should fold

10s is not a huge hand and with many players involved you can be easily defeated if there is a top card in the flop

I stumbled on these interesting facts the other day while doing hand review.

The range TT+ is considered the top 30 combos before AKs gets added.

You should also note that there is hardly any difference between JJ and TT when going up against broadway over cards, because they both are blockers to the high straight.

JJ has 56.04% equity vs AK, AQ, KQ (or AQs+, KQs, AQo+, KQo)
TT has 56.07% equity vs AK, AQ, KQ (yip TT wins 163K more hands than JJ - wtf ikr)
TT has 55.91% equity vs AK, AQ, AJ, KQ, KJ, QJ (or AJs+, KJs+, QJs, AJo+, KJo+, QJo)

TT - much more than you may think

All In Pre Flop

With those cards and having so many others calling you - I would fold. Normally if only one person call's or re-raises, 10's can be a good hand to double up on. But with more than 2 players, now the chances of the 10's winning are slim. Sometimes I have folded queens in the same situation and when you see the hands that come out with say 4 people calling all in pre folp - you see pocket Kings, Ace King, Ace Jack and maybe a Queen King .... so now the 10's you thought were great - are the worst hand if any picture card or ace comes up and if it don't, you still get beat by the person with the pocket pair higher. The only hope is to hit a 10 to give you 3 of a kind and even though that will happen some times, you will be put out of many tournaments by going all in with that hand with more than just you and one other calling.

You gave like no information to help us help you and know one pointed that out to you yet. If you are talking about a cash game, and you have a solid bankroll and plenty of bullets in the gun you can shove all in, hope to get head's up and get your next bullet ready if he hits an overcard. Cuz really even head's up he only needs to hit one better than you to tid.

I play micro and rarely fold them

I fold them all the time in tourneys with players behind and especially if it is 75% or more of my stack. But I pushed back with them tonight to find myself in a coinflip that worked out really well when I turned the straight.

When you have already 3 players that think their cards are good enoufg to call your raise and 1 who thinks his hand is good enough to reraise, i think your TT is not a hand that has a great chance of winning.

Don't overplay Tens to play them hoping for a set mostly, in your situation is an easy fold.

Depends on the position , normally I raise to make them fold. A pocket pair is a strong hand pre-flop, the best strategy is make the biggest number of players fold before the flop.

I would never fold tens. I would pay to see the flop, or I would shove to eliminate one or two players that called your initial raise.

Just reading into the action I think I would fold here. More info would be nice though. I mean maybe it's worth a call if you have an ungodly chip lead, but even then probably just best to fold

Shove?

So basically make all worse hands fold and all better hands call.

Good luck in your -VE goals of 2016.

Depends on your stack size, level of opponent, notes on how they play, etc.

It can be an easy fold if your opponents are nitty and there are 4 medium stacs raising behind you, or could be a hard fold if small stack goes all in for 3-4x your raise and gets called by deepstack, as you figure the small stack wants blinds/antes and the deep stack can play a WIDE variety of hands and has incentive to knock the player out.

50/50 imo.

Depends on your position, the raise, the other players histories and most importantly, everyone's stacks.

TT isn't a very strong pair preflop though.

Well that's what I would do. There are people that would call raise with 5 6 suited, so that people I want to eliminate from the flop, others A K , A Q , are a coin flip probability and yes I would gamble.

You should shove the 10s if you are 5 handed. If you are 9 handed I would watch out for aces or kings. Usually in cash games shoving with 10s is okay tho.
