hey guys,in a tournament what is your fold range against 3bet? What is your calling range against 3bet? What is your range to 4bet?

How does it change according to your position?
I play mostly tournaments and a lot of times I just not sure what to do.

If I call a 3 bit and I dont hit a hand should I always fold?

You shouldn't just have automatic ranges. Poker is a situational game. So for example, you can fold all but the best hands when a nit 3bets you, but continue by calling or 4betting a much wider range if the 3bet comes from a maniac.

People play much more straight forward in 3-bet pots so i would say when facing a post-flop bet that you air balled, a fold is almost always the right choice.

Generally I would advise try to keep it simple for lower stake games, 3-betting hands will often be A-10 or better or medium pairs or better and some broadways enough of time for the majority of players for us to make accurate assessments
based on early and middle position raises this will be there 3-bet range

As we look more at notably passive pre flop raisers and looser players attempting to steal in late position that range can be wider for the 3-betters.

my range would be A10 plus in position, 77+ suited broadways posibly unsuited, occasional spec hands like 10-8 suited, 8-9 suited, 10-9 suited. In accordance with individual players and how my image has been over the last session

Also my advice is be more observant to your image and their post flop play as some players your going to hopefully be exploiting when you hold position if your not getting the cards, you have to take your spots to stay in the game

Normally in the lower stakes where I play, a 3 bet means a monster hand. Nothing less than KK, AK. So to call them you need to have something like that. To give you an example i fold a lot of times hands like QQ,JJ,AQ,AJ,A10 when somebody 3-bets. However, if you know the player, and his range when he 3-bets, you can call him with QQ or even JJ. But you have to know him very, very well to do that. If you don´t know the player just fold and try other spot. Pay attention and it will pay you.
