This is a discussion on What is your favorite Poker Book? within the online poker forums, in the Learning Poker section; Years, ago during the hay-day of online poker – I actually wrote a book about online Texas hold’em. Before I could publish it, the dreaded
The Professor, the Banker, and the Suicide King: Inside the Richest Poker Game of All Time by Michael Craig.
Not a strategy book but a very entertaining read for poker fans and I highly recommend giving it a read. It tells the story of The Corporation, a group of the top poker pros in Las Vegas. They pooled together $10 million and took turns playing heads up limit hold em vs Andy Beal, a billionaire banker from Texas.
The group was lead by Doyle Brunson and also included Howard Lederer (The Professor) Ted Forrest (The Suicide King), Chip Reese, Phil Ivey, Todd Brunson, Jennifer Harman, and David Grey, among others.

My favourite one is Polished poker by John Anhalt. It's good for those who has just started playing poker. It's free but has paid workbook with tasks and questions for the better learning of the material.

My favorite poker book for psychology is The Mental Game of Poker series by Jared Tendler. This book has been invaluable in helping me to understand emotions surrounding the game, learning the game and finding focus. For tells I like Reading Poker Tells by Zachary Ellwood. He puts tells together in a useful way that helps you understand what your seeing, why and how to use it. At the heart of it all my favorite strategy book is still Harrington on Holdem by Dan Harrington. Anyone new coming in to the game can read his tournament series and be well on their way to becoming a good player even today.
I'd also like to hear more about your book. I read non stop and anything new is always welcome!
