Where do me this question , I answer : " Playing too many hands." I give this answer because it is easy to explain and easy to understand . Poker , I say, is like a race , and whenever you get with better hands than your opponents , is giving a good head start , in a way. Of course, this initial advantage is good and , in the long run , if you give up that advantage (playing many hands and so many bad hands ), you can not expect to win . So ... simple strategy ... just play tighter than the other guys , give yourself this initial advantage and you will end up in the first place more often.

worst mistake might be not following proper bankroll management-losing all your cash-----the other might be playing when you know your on tilt-nothing shrinks a bankroll like tilt

For me the worst is my stubbornness . Sometimes I literally jammed. Feel, what I feel, see what cards the opponent is stronger and still raise. And of course lose . I can't handle it and it's sad.

The worst mistake for me would be playing casino games after a winning or losing session on the poker tables, and/or playing casino games period. I remember winning a 5000 guaranteed 30.00 buy in on Bovada and losing most of it playing roulette.

i take really good notes when i feel like it. Problem with that is underestimating a donkey a truly losing player. Underestimating that the poker gods might give them aces that one time:)

To think that if you have AA you shouldn't worry about anything.
To play big stacks being a newbie.

There are a lot of things that can go bad in the poker game. I think the worst mistake a poker player can do is to think that he has a better hand than the opponent, a bad read.

And also what can be really bad is to continue playing while you are losing or playing just to bring the money that you lost back. After you lose for example 30 $, don't try to get all back in an hour. If you bring back 10 $ it's good. Live to fight and play another day.

Bankroll management is so important , that's the biggest mistake players do often , and we have to know when to fold the hand , I have lost many hands with monsters just because I didnt give it the right value or didnt take the right decision post flop , we have to learn how to get value for your hand and when you make the perfect fold

the biggest mistake is get excited and do not stop at the right time in the future lead to a loss in the game and bankroll

+1 On this one. Not to that extent but lost trying to unlock them stupid bonuses and recover buy ins when I lost a MTT at the blackjack table. My poker track is on a steady increase why would I do it!! Because it worked several times till that one time and I kept doubling and losing. I am still a little behind but closing in to even.. Don't do it. Blackjack is the devil!

The worst mistake a poker player can do is underestimate opponents and believe (falsely) that they are better at the game than they really are. They should never stop learning and working at becoming better. This mistake will cost you way more than misplaying a given hand.

In my opinion, the worst mistake a poker player can make is not being fluid, adapting to different situations, and just having a certain idea set in stone. The 2 words in poker you should never use is 'always' and 'never' and I think the players who don't follow this rule are the ones who do the worse.

If we take a hand like JJ, there are a ton of situations where fold preflop would be the right play. Others where calling preflop is the right play. And other time raising/3betting/shoving is the right play.

There is no clear, black and white answer for any situation and poker, so don't play like there is.

I think im too sure that hes bluffing and paying hes rise and being tricked by myself. Also as much times as some other mistakes. So i judge for myself that its about the self control and do you what to do on the right moment. The mistakes could be reduced and the playing get better.
Some mistakes are more fatal than another, so you have to decide if this worth it.

Many underestimate the new players but still has many talents to enter the poker and stand out more than the old

Really all depends on the flop to decide whether to have good chances to win or not ...

Playing tilted. Never works out no matter how much you may believe the retribution percentages are on your side.

BRM! Most on this site know how to play. Playing within your means is what is vital. 1/20 th stake of your Bankroll for MTT's.

lose control and discipline. allow an earlier misplay affect the development of future hands. the worst thing is can posible will be on Tilt and take hands and previous plays personally against any player in particular, as trying to attack a particular player does not play hands properly.

My problem is calling raises post flop, hoping to improve, instead of folding. I play good hands preflop, and most of the time I start with the best hand, but I have a hard time folding if I don't improve. But that's just me.

I have a few rules of thumb i've created: 1. Respect "allins" on the river (very few people bluff). 2. Don't fall in love with overpairs in deep stacks. 3. Don't get complacent no matter how big your stack!

What is the worst mistake that a poker player can make ?=continue to play poker and try to win, when you have already lost a big ammount of money.(You should stop and start a new session next day)
