I would like someone to tell me what and when they think I should have bet in this hand, as I would obviouslly like to get a lot more out of it than I did. Unfortuanltly, the way that I played it I figured that if I checked at least someone would bet allowing me to raise them....but that didn't happen. So should I have bet the turn....the river...both? And how much would you bet?

On the flop, if you get any action, it is likely you could be beat, not always, but often enough to count. You might have min bet the flop, turn and river hoping someone would at least call, but if there was no action on the flop, then nobody is wanting to even bluff at this hand.

Under other circumstances you would post this in the tourney section, but this is a pretty basic concept so posting it here is not a bad thing at all.

You were the first to call so...check permit that other guys without hands received a strong card at the turn or river, for me is better put 2x the pot maybe one or two players with a possible hands call you....

If your were at the last position and receive at call "the pot" at the turn, maybe will be interesting only call, because the guys could thing that has the best hand str8.

Small bet on the flop to see who's really in the pot. At the turn you had it pretty well locked up so again a smallish bet, maybe 1/3 pot. And if it gets as far as the river, value bet it for what ever you think you can get.

During early blind levels in a micro-stakes tournament, getting callers is not difficult. People will gladly call off 3/4 pot here on the turn with any pair, draw, or even 2 overcards.

Nothing wrong with checking the flop, but after everyone checked, I think you have to put money in on the turn, even out of position. If you only get 1 caller who folds to your river bet, you still earn some chips.
