What is the time to let the Poker for the next day?
Hello, I've lost a lot of time and money by not knowing the right time to stop.
Often we do not know our limits and we know not recognize that we are tired and we were still wanting to recover the time and money lost.
As the most experienced live and dominate this anxiety?
Thank you.

Obrigado.

When you have the mindset of recovering loses is when it's time to quit! Or when fatigued. Both of these should be easy to notice but if you have the will power to stop when needed is player dependent.

Set yourself a time and money limit and stick to it.
I'm sure every poker player has steamed and gone on tilt at some point. I started playing on 888 this year, got off to good start, had 1 terrible day and went bust. Put on another $20, got it to over $100 and came withing a whisker of going bust but won the last hand to salvage $28 and forced myself to stop. After that I adopted a strict 3-3-3 limit, If I win $3, lose $3 or play 3 hours I stop, no matter what (I play .01/.02 SNAP where you can only bring $1 to the table so $3 is good enough for a recreation player like me). Between that and freerolls I've worked that $28 up to $184 and there were definitely a couple of nights where I could easily have gone off the rails if I didn't force myself to adhere to the limits.
Obviously each player should set their limits to the stakes they play and their normal playing time, the important thing is to set a limit and stick to it.

I would suggest anyone on a tight budget, and has to worry about losing money, should play low stakes, or more specifically, LIMIT poker...this will ensure you dont go bust with your initial buy in, on the very first hand / coin flip you play.

Lets say you have a max of $100 to lose for the whole month of april. I would never play in a no limit or pot limit game with such low risk capital. Stick to a limit game..where the blinds are 25 cent - 50 cent and the max bets are 50 cent- $1 .....this will teach you discipline and money management.

1. Stop play when you tilt- take a break.
2. Determine the maximum, what you can lose per day.

The best time to stop for the day is the Tilt face, if you get large a bad beat or a series of close losses is time to rest fr the day. Also if you get to your set threshold value. :deal:

Once you start chasing your losses and saying things like "I'm $400 down for today... I just want to win my $400 back and then I'll leave", that's when you should leave immediately and accept that the $400 is gone.

Playing beyond your brm and chasing losses is also a few signs of addiction.Continously playing despite adverse consequences and obv with negatives results. You should stop when you reach that point before you succumb to addiction.

You should have a plan on when you're going to leave before you sit down. It can be a bankroll limit, a time limit, or some other metric. You have to have the discipline to get up when the limit is reached.

Any time you are not really feeling like playing, you should go with what you feel. You will have to take breaks away from poker. If you don't you will be playing half assed most of the time, and your BR will go down slowly. This is not what I think will happen. I know it will happen from many years of experience. Poker takes a very positive mind. GL to you
